followed in my experience by Train and Pat Benetar the only problem with this one is that it was in the convention center.

i actually had a pretty good time considering the personal clusterf*** that went down that weekend...

i caught a Train drumstick as their float passed our float (they were coming out, we were going in)

oh it was still fun, but our tables were a pretty good ways away from the stage so it was either keep pushing through the crowd to go back and forth for drinks or sit at the table and watch it on a screen.

I did not Luke Bryan for 2 reasons : 1) I had no idea who he was or what he sang and 2) I'm not a country fan. Kelly Clarkson put on a good show. She loved being there and did well. I have been riding since 1995 and like others have said Kid Rock was great. He'll one of the best years was when they had Styxx, Journey and Al green. Brooks and Dunn were good too. I like the corporate cover bands that usually play after the main act. The worse one that they got for like 3 years in a row was Cowboy Mouth. They suck.

WOW. And what are they typically? $100?

Just curious. Never been and don't plan on going, but I remember hearing that the tickets were going to be a lot more this time.

No they aren't that much higher this year. They are normally around 180, but there are upcharges depending on if you want your table on the floor or not. They started that a few years back when they reconfigured the seats in the dome.

Anyone remember REO Speedwagon going on before Styx and Journey..?

Those guys put on a hell of a show, and I was never a Speedwagon fan... Was impressed..

i remember talking with one of the captains a couple of years ago (i think the year they got carrie underwood) about other acts. He said they tried to get Bruno that year but his cosr was a million +, he wouldn't ride, and he wanted to only play for half an hour or 45 minutes. They got Carrie for like 750k i think.
