(1) The ramifications for all involved would make this CSB impossible

I went to the beach one time and saw a family of them. The babies were cute.

A good friend of mine became a Navy SEAL 3 years ago. He is a brilliant guy and a physical specimen. I went to his wedding three weeks ago in Coronado and met most of the members on his team.

Of all the guys on here who are best friends of a cousin that has an uncle that was a Navy SEAL, you are the one with the highest exposure with a real operator/s and are now the leader in the clubhouse. Congrats....

The boat guys (SWIC, I think they are called) train out at Stennis. Most of them are guys that washed out of BUDS. I'm almost positive that they all believe they are real SEALS. The douche within each of them is unbelievable.

Also, a friend of mine was dating a SEAL that moved down here to train the Boat guys. Dude was legit crazy. After they broke up he stalked the shite out of her. A SEAL is a very good stalker. Some of those stories are borderline unbelievable!

I answered you're question about Houston in the other thread. You know any of the guys there?

But in all honesty, a teammate and classmate of mine from high school is a Seal. I saw him a few years ago back home and asked him about it. He rather uncomfortably admitted he was one, but I could tell he didn't want to talk about it, so I didn't force the issue. Back in high school though he was a nutty mofo on the football field and was surprisingly athletic despite his goofy stature. The only reason I know he made it was because he and his best friend entered buds training together, as they always wanted to be Seals. One made it, one didnt haha

Are there any books based on or chronicling declassified missions of either DEVGRU or FBI HRT? Or is anything I find going to be fictionalized?

Not a clue, honestly. Lone Survivor has been published and made into a movie but thats really all I know. I'm sure there are some, I just dont know any specifically or how factual they would actually be.

ETA: Hey Rocket, can I get an autograph? Haha

Lee Haney (Delta CSM) and Chris Whitcomb (FBI HRT sniper) have both written books. Mostly about training and stuff like that, but a little operational stuff.

I literally never use hyperbole or embellish anything I say on here so I don't know if this saying is true!

I have my doubts about anyone that embezzled 10s of thousands of dollars from a childrens organization.

Marcinko founded ST6 and was convicted of taking kickbacks on a procurement contract. An early Delta member was later found to be a serial rapist. Being a mental and physical outlier doesn't make them immune from the same character flaws as average people.

There is a guy around here that was supposedly some kind of SF operator in Vietnam....I know the guy fairly well and I've heard some stories from other people that have known him for a long time, but I have a real hard time believing it...mostly just because the guy is a contemptible human being.

I knew a retired CSM that worked on post. I never checked his service record or anything, but I know he was at least a legit retired CSM. He claimed he was in the SF during Nam, and I don't have much reason to doubt him. This dude would tell us the most disturbing rape stories and thought it was hilarious. He said they would ask the village women if they wanted "boom boom"(while aiming their weapons at them), or "boom boom"(while thrusting hips). Like I said, I only know for sure that he was a CSM, but your post reminded me of him.
