The young lady in question wasn’t a minor... age of consent was (and is) 16. She was 17. The problem was his affiliation with JE, her status as a “sex slave” and the fact many believe he is lying... unbecoming of a Royal.

According to Prince Andrew he's not even in that picture. It's a picture of him but thats not his hand on her.
When did Epstein or other s start sleeping with her? What about the age of the other girls? There was a lot of bad things going on in this group. Epstein pleaded guilty and was convicted in 2008 of procuring an underage girl for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute. He had also been charged with trafficking.
Why do you care if this girl was only 17 at the time in that picture?

He understands that everybody knows he did shady things and that he personally has nothing to gain from the interview.
The point of the interview was to reinforce the notion that the prince was just a bumbling idiot, and to distance the rest of the royal family from it. The narrative will be that he just couldn't handle being a royal. The only times he really focuses and perks up is when it's to make it clear that nobody else from the family was involved.
My guess is that Epstein had dirt on lots of people in power and used that as a way to create a web of useful connections. He very well may have been working with deep state CIA, MI6, KGB, or the Mossad.
