What would be the point of compiling statistics relating a persons net worth to their career choice if sources of money outside there career were included, and just like the first book they are not.

Would you care to link to that? Everything I've found about millionaires and educators does not exclude those who made their money elsewhere.

This includes K-12 and college professors,

I would imagine this would be heavily skewed toward professors. A professor at a research oriented university can make good money if they're in a field where they can pull in a lot of grants.

The only teachers I know who are millionaires either married up or inherited that. They only teach at private schools because they don't have kids are kids are in school and gives them something to do.

How would you know how much someone is worth? I don't know the net worth of a single friend, and no one knows what I am worth, until my parents passed away I had no idea how much money they had. You certainly cant tell by outward appearance, lots of broke people live large.
