The Internet Has Been Going To shite For Some Time Now

Just seems like most every website, app, and pretty much anything else is designed primarily to constantly badger you into buying something. They track what you searched for yesterday and throw it in your face every time you visit a website. Already bought it? Doesn't matter we'll still torment you with incessant blinking marketing tiles that take up half your screen for a month. Seems like a huge invasion of privacy to use online searches to pester me into buying things. Why is this so widely accepted? If someone followed you around the grocery store and every time you stopped to look at an item they harass you about it, would that be ok? That's what this feels like. Also, why is there a blinking fleshlight advertisement taking up half my screen right now?

...of the matter is it will be the downfall of society. It has drastically reduced our communications with other live people, and blurred our reality into a multi decade advertisement.
Think about it. Something has stood out that marked the time periods. 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. The 90's were known for the internet. Since then? 18 years of fricking commercials and jacking off.
