Nurse, I think you are the one who recommended it in another thread. I don't listen to many podcast, but I do like this one. I have an episode and a half left to go.

The episode where the woman who joined a MLM to see what it was like, where she sort of broke down.. That was tough. Not sure how those people could hear a woman talk about how she was on the verge of killing herself and just gave her "you are on the right track now, atta girl".

One woman who joined because she wanted to earn extra money to pay for marriage counseling. Another women sunk $20k into her business (MLM business) and never told her husband about it.

Link the podcast to your FB. Just say that it's a podcast you recently listened to and recommend it for anyone who is looking for a podcast to listen to.

Well I think you were part of the conversation. I don't remember the details of it, I just know it was suggested, I checked it out.

But it does fascinate me how it becomes the last resort for people. A few years ago someone I would have never thought would get caught up in one, contacted me. His approach was "Hey, look I started using this new product and that there is opportunity to start selling it. And said him and some other guy (he said the guy's name and that he was part of this) would like to meet with me if I have some extra time soon.

He pressed me for about a month. Didn't hear from him for maybe 6 months.. Then one day he texted me just to see what was going on and we just sort of went out with our friendship (text each other every few weeks, go grab a beer every now and then).

But at the time he was at a low point in life. In between jobs.. Had some other stuff going on. But it seems like people are willing to be apart of something, even if in the back of their mind they know that it isn't the best thing to be a part of, than have nothing at all to be part of. And I guess going through a period of not having a job.. People need something to validate themselves.

What's MLM and FTC?

I'd be embarrassed if I was a grown adult and could not recognize what FTC stands for.
