Because the LNST is a board sanctioned thread that took a lot of bans and grief to get made a mainstay. They don't just allow any dipshit IM thread started whenever you want.
Take it to the help board and fight your case and ask them why you can't just start these threads on a whim because you are cool enough to have a beer at 6pm

I mean the thread has no purpose but to being IM chat, so it will eventually get deleted or anchored. If you want to talk beer in a sanctioned mid day IM thread you have to head to the food board.
The LNST is a sanctioned IM thread on the OT but sometimes if it's started just a couple minutes early it will get whacked as well. There are rules.
