Nice to know about locking down rates before expiration.

I agree. I never knew that.

I'd filter out the bad review ones. Seems that some are pretty bad to deal with.

I just saw a plan for 7.5 cents per kWh. Think you can beat that?

Not sure what your point is here. Median income in Texas is about 12-20% higher than Louisiana depending on what numbers you use. Aren't you alarmed?

Paying more for electricity than other states causes median incomes to be higher?

Damn, you're obedient.

There's some in the 6.5 range. He's trying to come up with some "aha gotcha Texas" moment. Wouldn't worry about his arguments.

Not at all. Was pointing out that it's easier to swallow the small amount more that I'm paying knowing I can make a lot more in Texas than I can in La.

Maybe you should get on the phone with Hawaii and let them know about their rates being high as well. They probably give less of a shite than Texans do.

With fees it probably wouldn't be much more than that but he'd also have to use at least 1,000kwh a month. If he drops below 1,000kwh per month, that rate would be more in line with .10 or .11.

I should have specified that in my post. Sorry. But I wasn't even thinking about sub 2,000kwh/month rates. Was looking at ones that fit me.

I usually stay below 1000 in the winter b/c I use gas for heating, hot water, and dryer. But I usually get a reward credit in the summer for certain usage.

I doubt I would gloat if Entergy were my provider. They were more expensive, but DEMCO is a non- profit co-op.

I'm actually trying to warm the wife up to moving to Houston. We wouldn't really make more money but there's more "stuff" and we both are adventurous eaters. Every time we go to Houston we try new places.

She hates the city in general, though. Family is the only thing that tethers us here.

My parents live close to college station and they fall under one of these and have no choice. Their rates are about .08 after everything.

Lived in Texas for two yrs. had stream energy and never had a bill over $90 and that was with leaving ac on all day in summer and heater on all day during the winter. Lived in a two bedroom apt. Idk if your moving to a house or apt. But that was still cheap even for an apt.
