re: tell tale signs of someone faking cancer?

There was a poster on another site I visited frequently who had multiple accounts, one a Husky fan the other a Wolverine fan. He claimed the Wolverine fan identity played football for Alma College. He took the charades as far as claiming the two fake identities met up in Washington to watch a football game. Went in full detail about the experience. That wasn't enough so he took it a step farther and claimed the Washington identity was sent to Afghanistan, injured and killed in the line of duty. They guy was even taking collections for the fake dead soldier identity.

His real identify was found out by some people on the site and it turned out he was a skinny pimple faced student at Alma College using the identity of an actual Alma College football player. Local police were notified and the guy was pulled out of a class for questioning. Not sure what happened after that.
