WTF are you smoking, these things are far from dangerously slow. More likely you drive dangerously fast over speed limits.

About the same actually, the 4 sells surprisingly well.

There are movements slow cars just can't make. And no one drives perfectly, so having more power helps overcome some mistakes as well. To say that's bullshite is, well, bullshite.

Perfectly acceptable, but pretending the truck isn't fully capable of meeting expectations of normal traffic is garbage.

Didn't say that.

This sentence makes no sense. Get what you want applies no matter the circumstance, or at least it should. It seems it doesn't apply if I go against your opinion though.

this has to be a troll attempt.

I would never buy a 4 cylinder engine for a truck.

Its just not right.

Yep, and I am giving him mine from having drove one for years.

Yes it is.

Power is what more than likely landed you in those positions. Defensive driving is far more effective. Adding more speed into the mix makes things far more dangerous. Normal traffic isn't race conditions, it's a completely different world and way of thought.

I am not saying don't get a 6. I am saying the 4 is fine if you want it. I am saying it is ok to get either. You are the one saying not to get one.

So only your opinion matters? Got it.

Nope.

Nostradamus over here.

Sometimes.

No one said more speed.

No one said that either.

Get what you want fricking covers that. Holy shite.

I don't. I'm a professional in his 30s with a wife and kid, I have a degree, a mortgage, and a perfectly clear criminal record. I am very, very boring and white bread. I am actually the king of cruise control and don't speed at all.

There are situations that come up while driving where a reserve of power can get you out of trouble. There are times when your lane ends without warning, where you need to pass a slow vehicle or tractor on a curvy 2 lane road, when the freeway on-ramp is absurdly short, and on and on. The anemic 4 banger in a heavy crew cab Tacoma is a permanently slow vehicle that is a liability in such situations. To me, that is a safety issue.

Nope, mine opinion could hold more weight to him given my experience. Ever heard of an expert witness? If you have daily experience driving these vehicles, your opinion could be worth more to someone who has no experience with these vehicles.

Nope

Yep

No one said more speed.

So you are riding a Harley? Making all that power to turn it into noise?

quote:

Get what you want fricking covers that. Holy shite.

Why are you so triggered by that? Need a safe space?

All of which are easily solved by slowing down, well except the short ramp, but you accelerate just fine compared to most economy vehicles. You can easily pass slow trucks on curvy two lane roads. Did it all the time. If you are having issues with that, then you are more likely attempting a dangerous pass anyway. There was never a time where I felt unsafe with this engine. I've been riding motorcycles most of my life, I completely understand having a massive reserve of acceleration.

Your attempts at insults are getting comical now. I'm a Harley rider? How about you just actually say only your opinion matters and we'll drop this?

.... Not even worth explaining that one for you. Dynamics seems lost on you.

You are the one that seems to have a problem with my opinion. You started quoting me, not the other way around. How about you deal with that first.
