You don’t need a garage on the front range, though you would if you did a lot of recreation.
Paying 3k in castle rock is dumb. She could be paying the same for a closer commute, and be totally safe. Denver itself is actually a small center piece of the larger metro area, and within that are very nice safe areas.
If you don’t ski or enjoy winter in some way then you really have no reason to be in denver, might as well live in Omaha or wherever.
To answer the OPs question- yes, it’s a good place to be. Tons of recreation options, lots of women, good weather for the most part, good airport to get around the world if desired. It ain’t cheap for housing but where is these days, for places you actually want to be.

I 100% wrote this myself and spent a lot of time on it.
Baw… first off, let me tell ya — Denver ain’t a bad spot if you like your air thin, your beards thick, and your IPAs hoppier than a frog on a trampoline. But it ain’t the South, and you’re gonna find out real quick when you try to order a daiquiri through a drive-thru and they look at you like you just asked for gumbo without roux.
Now your chirren movin’ to Glendale? That’s like the Metairie of Denver. Strip malls, apartment complexes, maybe a Trader Joe’s if you’re lucky. It’s safe-ish, but you won’t be steppin’ out your front door into no mountain postcard. He’ll need to hop on I-70 and head west a bit if he wants to touch snow with his own hands and not just on a Subaru commercial.
Cost of living? Yeah baw, it’s up there. Not quite San Francisco “I-just-sold-my-plasma-to-afford-a-burger” bad, but bad enough you’ll feel it when that first rent check clears. Think NOLA prices, but with no boiled seafood to soothe your soul. And don’t even get me started on the crawfish situation — I saw a boil up there go for $15 a pound. FIFTEEN. And it was frozen. Outta a bag. I nearly called the state attorney general.
But if your young’un likes hiking, breweries on every corner, and folks who think they know what real spice is, Denver can be a fun time. Lots of folks in their late 20s, lots of things to do, and if they’re single, well… it ain’t the French Quarter, but it ain’t a monastery either.
Only warning I’ll give — the SEC don’t run up there. You mention LSU in public and they’ll ask if that’s a law firm. It’s all Buffaloes and Broncos, baw. If he’s tryin’ to watch the Tigers on a Saturday in fall, tell him to budget for the SEC Network and maybe a backup generator, ’cause them bars will have Colorado State on the big screen like it’s the Super Bowl.
Final verdict: Denver’s nice. But he better pack a jacket, a strong liver, and a big ol’ jar of Tony Chachere’s — ’cause they ain’t seasoning nothing up there.

Snow. Plenty of days when she’d have to spend 10 minutes in freezing cold just trying to get into her car and clear the windows to make it safe to drive.

One of my chirren accepted a job out there. Obviously, the mountains are near and a huge draw. I understand the cost of living is high but I don't think apartments are that much more than NOLA. Is it fun? Is it safe?
Job is around Glendale, from what I understand. I know nothing about the area.
TIA.
It was fun, but now it is California lite. My now wife and I moved back East and a tad south because Denver didn't represent us or our values anymore. It's also expensive as hell.
