There is video posted of him and other boys jumping from the pier last year. He probably thought he could handle it.

The wind was kickin hard this weekend.

A guy tried to rescue him, and almost drowned.

When people try to rescue drowning swimmers, they have to get behind them. You can't let the person drowning you grab your neck and take you under.

I was out there yesterday at lake house and barley oak. The water was kickin. Coast guard chopper and sherif boat was out searching.
Hard to recover if something goes wrong when that water is that rough.
