What do you all think about Tecovas Boots? Do you like the Full Quill Ostrich or the American Alligator? What is different with this brand? Thanks

I have a pair of the regular leather ones. I like them, very well made and comfortable. A couple of years ago Tecovas were there best thing since sliced bread on this board, now they get shite on for some reason. Maybe for becoming popular?

I have the alligator. They are bad arse. They are comfortable. They are great quality. Quit posting now.
Edit: one more bone for you. I also have some Luchesse smooth quill Ostrich with the leg on top of the foot. They are bad arse. They are comfortable. They are slightly higher quality than Tecovas. There. I helped you twice. Now quit posting.

I have a pair of the cowhide ropers and like them a lot. They’re comfy and look nice.
As far as sizing, they are known to run narrow. I have a normal width foot and ordered the wide boot because of this. They fit perfectly.

First, welcome to the OT. I think you will find a warm and sincere welcome from most of us. I consider everyone here a friend, and hope you will come to that same conclusion. Before beginning on the OT, since you are, as you remind us, new to the board, let us remember the three pillars of the OT: faith, hope, and love. If your life and your posts are guided by these three principles, you will do well.
We are a refined lot, and many of us do have a penchant for fine things. You will be happy to know that one of our friends, Jon Ham, is an avid shoe collector. Be sure to read his threads, as he will direct you in the ways of athletic shoes. As far as boots go, I generally avoid them. It is not often a gentleman is called to wear boots. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I had a pair on my feet.

I'm a big fan of Tecovas. I have the lizzard skin and love them. True to size and more comfortable than Luccase's.
I plan to get the alligator and ostrich soon as well as a new belt and wallet next time I travel to Houston.
