I thought you guys were full of shite talking about seeing ads pop up after you talk about something or whatever.
I walked out of Target this morning and saw a guy wearing some brown loafers and thought to myself "those are nice". I had my phone out, likely facing him b/c I was checking my email.
Scroll down on good ole TD and there is this ad,
with the exact same shoe. And I did not search shoes at any point. Hell I haven't searched for a shoe in months. Only thing I could say is the camera caught it.

What bothers me most about apple is that I'm happy with my phone/tablet the way it is, I don't want to download and install the update. There is no way to turn off the reminder.
You shouldn't be forced to download software that isn't designed to run on the processor you have. It slows everything down. I don't want a new iPad, I want my current one to last.
Windows 10 is like that. There is no setting to tell it not to do an update. After I got my new machine I got up to help a customer came back later and it had updated and rebooted my machine. Without closing quickbooks and let me tell you quickbooks did not like that. Had to restore a backup to make it work.
I complained to IT and they said they would look into it. They called me the next day saying there was no way to disable the updates. But the workaround they found was to disable access to updates.microsoft.com from the firewall except for a specific time (middle of the night). Now my stupid machine cant reboot and make me lose information and time while it restarts.
