Because this whole topic is fricking retarded. None of what he listed, outside of google glasses (which evolved into hololense, a major investment that microsoft is using in the medical field) has not panned out/had staying power.

This was more of a chance to make money while developing the visual AI technology. The glasses themselves weren't meant to be a long-term thing. I got to be a tester for the underlying algortihm years ago. It later came out in an app called google glass and then became google glasses.
