re: Surprisingly good start to Country Music awards show

In addition to being a great songwriter and performer, Chris Stapleton seems like a real person. Very cool and a nice change from what often seems like an over-manufactured industry.

Dude has a hell of a voice on him. Can't wait to hear some of his more upbeat songs

I'm a huge Stapleton fan, the dude can flat out sing and has written songs for some of the biggest names in country.

The album Traveler is excellent. The chick on stage with him is his wife, sings a bunch with him. His career had gotten stale after the Steeldrivers. She bought him a jeep, told him to go, write new music. Traveled around the country, and wrote that album, hence traveler.

Chris is legit, very happy for him last night.
He was the driving force behind the Steeldrivers and had to make a break if he was going to make it big.....
I believe it is working ....
