I'd have to build a separate office structure in my backyard though. I don't like my house being my office too.

I have thought about this many times since i have been at home. Having the separate space would be my dream scenario.
Need to get away from the family to make it feel like 100% work environment. I need a he shed

Yep. It doesn't have to be 50k. Just something like this with a window unit would be fine with me.

I'm not sure. I think that's a prefabricated building.

I know my dad had a shed with a metal roof built in our backyard when I was a kid. It didn't sit on a slab like that (maybe a ft off the ground) but it had electricity and a window unit. All it would have needed to be an office was internet. It wasn't terribly expensive.

No shite. Neither is education by Zoom.

But if it's that or nothing, most will take that to keep the operation going.

It's possible in my field, as we've demonstrated.

But on-boarding new team members is an absolute bitch. Training and communication is even harder.

frick you, it’s been hugely beneficial for my work. Less time commuting and even more flexibility to work off hours.

Ha. That is an opinion. O&M and reduced travel savings across the country say otherwise.

I’m able to leverage my core incompetencies from home by synergizing operational efficiencies from the asymmetrical environment while providing mission essential services which impact the vision in non-binary ways.

Basically, when I work from home, I’m on the golf course.

On the other, corporate bureaucracy invents measures of accomplishment and efficiency that have nothing to do with real output, so it'll be impossible to get straight answers. "It took much longer to coordinate and conduct our rollout training and accompanying strategy session that could really be accomplished with three emails" etc.

Amen
