So, people just shouldn't be going in the water right? Play stupid games?

That was the argument against those people that were walking their dogs and gators got their dogs.

When we enter the water, we are no longer top predator. We no longer have evolutionary advantage. That said, shark attacks are rare and most happen due to mistaken identity for great whites, territorial threat display not being seen for bulls, tigers being kind of assholes that eat anything, whitetips in a constant state of near starvation or if you're Egyptian, the Jews released a trained shark on you.
