I wasn't hating.. But are there any real Mexican places in Louisiana? I like real Mexican food more than Tex-Mex.

Most of their food is decent to good imo and their margs are very good. The Government Street location used to be a blast on Thursday nights. Not sure if they still do live music and everything.

El Tio. It's in kind of a dumpy little strip mall near Gardere but the food is very good.

I changed my language because I like that place and didn't want to bad mouth their business due to the location. The food is very good and the people are nice.

I’m also a hard fresco fan.
Real Mexican is notably different devoid of sour creams and flowing cheeses and more fresh produce.
