Agreed.

Air ride seats FTW.

Super C is overkill to tow a 4runner. Get a class A DP and enjoy the extra living space, better turning radius, less engine noise on the road (engine in the back). You will get way more luxury for 250 on a Class A DP than a Super C. Especially if you are buying used. Might also be able to keep 100 to 50 in your pocket for your travels.

Save the Super C for later on if you decide you need to tow 15,000 lbs. or more.

What’s the maintenance like on a class A DP vs super C?

It's more difficult to find a diesel mechanic for a Class A, whereas any will work on a Super C because it's just a regular truck chassis. To do any engine work other than fluids filters and such on a Class A, the mechanic has to essentially take the bedroom apart. On a Class A if you have to get towed, the tow truck guy has to pull the rear axles... On a Super C they just unbolt the driveshaft. It's major consideration IMO because at some point the thing is going to break down.

Drawback on the C is less interior room and engine noise... but you feel like you're driving a truck instead of a house.

You love your wife more than I love mine. I can't imagine being trapped in a tin can with her for weeks at a time.

We've rented RV's twice, it was fun, for a few days at a time.

Overlooked is safety in a head on collision. That class A has nothing in front to protect you but a windshield.

I would like having that engine block, frame, and real bumper on a C take the blow first.
