I left my keys in your mom.
They also were on a lanyard.

Ive had that happen to me a few times, but I always use my keys to lock the door, so when I close the door, it isnt already locked.
"Stupidest" or maybe unluckiest way I've gotten locked out, is my apartment had one of those security latches like at hotels. Well, there was a screw loose in the part that connected to the wall, and so it was slightly higher than it should have been. When I closed the door and left for the day, the part of the joint connected to the door touched the screw and rotated it so that the part on the wall swung inwards and latched together.
So I left for the day and when I got home in the evening, i couldn't get into my apartment. Had no idea why I couldnt physically open the door after unlocking it. Had to wait hours for the maintenance guy to come and saw the lock off. fricking stupid.

Plot twist. There are no house keys on the end of the lanyard and some cuck or try-hard millinial took the picture to post on Facebook for likes and shares.
