Look, I don't care how much weed you smoke or what you do while you're high. I certainly don't think it should be illegal. But you're not going to convince me that smoking weed is going to make my life better. At best, it won't make my life worse.

I just got out of the mountains. Hiked stoned the entire day. It made it better.

The study also suggested that people who consume marijuana on a regular basis are more physically activity than those that use it sporadically or not at all.

I don't smoke anymore but my friends who consume will definitely sit around getting high and then get this wild arse idea to go to the river and get high.

They seem to keep forgetting to do a study on the effects regular marijuana use has on education and employment/career path. I don't know any successful potheads outside of musicians and athletes.

I love all folks screaming 'oh but all medical uses' when in actuality it's all about getting loaded..... I'd respect the cause much more if they were actually honest out the gate and just say they want to get high. Don't tell me it's all about medicinal use and then every pot grower is growing the most potent shite they can grow.

This sounds like a Reagan era Say No To Drugs take.

I don't smoke but I know plenty of successful people that do. I had engineering classes with guys who stayed high and did very well in school and are doing well now.

Exactly. I don't drink whiskey for the medicinal uses. If I tried to sell that to people they look at me like a retard. I do it because I'm at a bar and I'm having a good time, or because I'm at home trying to take a load off and watch Ancient Aliens.

You smoke because you want to get high. Not because you have glaucoma.

In actuality, marijuana has a pretty big potential for medical uses but it's currently illegal to pursue that potential.

Hemp also has massive potential in the textile field but it's also illegal to pursue that.

Then, of course, there's the recreational aspect.

What about rubbing alcohol for cleaning? Or sterilization?

What about listerine for mouth wash?

What about alcohol to clean cuts and scrapes?

Those are all nonrecreational uses of alcohol. If alcohol was treated like marijuana all of those things would be highly illegal.

I dated a chick in college that was coked out half the time. She is a successful attorney now. She was the exception, not the rule.

That's fantastic. That's not what I use whiskey for.
