That's what I am thinking. Are these strip clubs causing problems? Even if there is illegal activity going on in some of them, if they find out some illegal activity is going on in a few restaurants will they put a limit on the number of restaurants that can be opened in New Orleans?
I know being a stripper isn't really "socially acceptable", but if some of those girls were not able to strip they would probably be loving off the government. If there is enough demand to keep the number of strip clubs open then why shut them down? With the financial state this state is in, they should consider opening up more around the entire state.

I sure hope dancer licenses don't lead to identity theft. I checked "exotic dancer" when I got my bar card.

This is called a mafioso shakedown of getting rid of the competition and allowing more alcohol establishments to be put in their place.

Most of these women are also full-time students. A AICPA former stripper speaking out on land use issues too.
Where are the women from Visions on Downmand Road at?

They are probably upset b/c strippers get away with not paying as much tax due to cash tips.

They keep going over time- they need to play a short song to remind them to get off stage.

They don't want to jeopardize any Kean Miller campaign donations by pissing off this lawyer.
