I actually use my 250 too. I fish and hunt a lot and I use it to tow 5thwheel trailers.
Well, exhaust without cats and mufflers will cause you to lose torque, so good luck with all that towing.
Oh, and has anyone mentioned that it sounds raspy and like arse?

I've read the torque loss is pretty minimal.

The average across 0-6000 RPM may be minimal, but it will be noticeable in the portion of the power band one feels while driving and towing.
There is no benefit to it at all.

How?

I say bullshite on torque loss, at least on my 7.3, more low end throttle response with straight turnout in front of rear wheel and 6637 air filter. That bitch uses more fuel though but that might because I like to hear it bellar baw.

Most rednecks believe this. Seeing them talking about the power increases and then watching the truth on a dyno can be pretty comical. Loud noises are the simplest way to trick a simpleton.

It might sound like arse, but backpressure is bad with diesels.

What year?
Had a straight on a '91 7.3 that was nice. That back rack was amazing down shifting or going down hills. Eventually went to duals 45'ed out the back with 3" tips. Was loud as frick but lost the back rack

Well I don't need a dyno bro to notice a difference., and read the post below yours. Why are all those older Cat and Cummins in 18 wheelers running straights smartass?
