Truly wish people is a couple hundred yesr old rule to boost profits for the fishing industry.

Instead its all... "god doesn't want me to eat meat!"

Fish is meat in my book. I'm catholic and I don't follow this dumb rule. If Jesus was on the Great Plains instead of Middle East he would have turned 2 buffalo into a herd of buffalo

You don't think enough people are avoiding meat to appease God? I know he can be super vengeful and vain (and a bit of a prima donne), but I think he could let this one slide.

It actually began as fasting on Fridays. The concept is to recognize the 40 days of temptation when Christ went into the wilderness. If you are going to just eat fried fish, sushi, tuna steak, etc. then you are really just making a mockery of what the intention is. Eating grilled chicken would be more of a sacrifice.

So, to be adequately Christian in your eyes and not make a mockery of the whole show, I'd have to quit my job, leave my house and go live in the forest for 40 days, AMIRITE?

Write a letter to your Bishop requesting a special dispensation during Lent. Please share the response you get with the OT.

i like the fact that we live in a world where people are equally observant of a blowjob and meat holiday and as well as religious observances.

edit: in fact, if you were a really good catholic you wouldn't spill your seed in such a careless matter. those are babies you're killing.

I do too, but I work in the O&G industry and get steak all the time. Good fish is a treat. (not fried catfish)

I'm catholic and have always eaten meat. I don't eat seafood so it's kind of hard.

My boys can swim...they might make it.

As for rustled jimmies, my jimmies and johnson are always rustled...or at least jostled.
