I started out to reply to the OP, then got caught up seeing the women get all riled up

I just wish there was something to motivate people to want to work. Sitting on your arse at home because you can make more money doing so is crippling this state. And to top it off at the end of the year they’re getting a butt load of money back.

That has nothing to do with taxes

The people you are talking about are not. Unless you consider $500 a butt load of money

I’m not saying it has anything to do with taxes. I’m saying they’re being rewarded with money for nothing.
And $500?
And $500?

I hate politics but someone has to do something here. People just don’t want to work because they don’t need to work and will flat out tell you they can make more money sitting at home. If they want to get paid while sitting at home, fine, but when the end of the year rolls around they should not be able to claim crap and certainly not be able to get back 3-5k due to whatever tax breaks they’re getting.

That’s a deterrent, DA

Mingo what is your argument here?
I backtracked my way from the end of pg 2 to the OP trying to make sense of this argument and I can find Bella's stance clear... but your's not so much.

What are you talking about? You were talking about taxes then said you weren't, then said they get 3-5k back and then said they don't.
Make a coherent statement.

I never claim to. Jesus, stop humping my GD leg.
I just proposed a way or deterrent to get people off of their asses, oh and BOOMED you for being a tool. And you’re still here, being a tool.

Which was factually in accurate on multiple levels.
1. The taxes you are talking about a federal, they have nothing to do with the state.
2. Your numbers weren't even in the correct ballpark.

If telling people they are wrong when they are clearly wrong, then guilty as charged. Part of the reason Louisiana is so shitty is because the people, like yourself, are uneducated but spew ignorance with extreme confidence, and when people try to tell you whats really going on you curl up and start screaming like little brats. The state will be shitty as long as it's citizenry wears idiocy as a badge of honor.

You have no idea what you are talking about, FYI. They aren't "tax breaks." people that get refunds over payed throughout the year and are receiving that extra money back. The middle class and poor get WAY more deductions and credits than the rich. Credits especially phase out quickly.
Now tell me im an a-hole because you are ignorant on the subject and talking out of your arse.
I'm calling bullshite. The middle class yes but poor people? They almost always get back more than what they paid in.
My baby factory sister-in-law who doesn't work and whose husband makes like $12 an hour and has four kids from two different dads gets $8,000 a year from Uncle Sam come tax time. That doesn't include food stamps. That's a straight $8,000 check she gets to cash every year. No way in hell they even pay in half of that out of the husband's paycheck.

Read the tax code.

Most credits aren't refundable, but the earned income credit is. For three or more children, the MOST that refund could be is about $6.5k, and they'd have to be making household income of about $16k per year, so it is in fact, not bullshite.
