Family on both sides of Florida. I am in south west Georgia. They have closed schools for two days as of now for Colquitt County and those south of us. Retired but I work prn at the hospital and praying for safety for all.

Looks like Pensacola is the only Florida city not getting hit.
I'm worried for friends and family out there.

Riding it out on the border of Lee and Collier County. Not looking so good.
Stay safe everyone.

Bradenton here Sat morning early: we may be about to bail out. Getting nervous with cone and projected track.

Tampa (actually New Tampa), just east of I75-I275 split. Next 48 hours is going to be wild. Boarding windows and doors today.

Check in from the Keys. Spending the day with the family on the beach. Pretty cloudy right now though. Hopefully it will clear up a little later and I can get a little sun.

Jackson here as well. Hoping she's lost a lot of steam by the time she gets here.

Back in north palm beach from Pensacola. Drove all night back after evacuating on Thursday. As storm tracking further and further west, I didn't want to get stuck for a week trying to get back. I will never encounter an easier drive completely devoid of traffic as going east on 10/ south on 75/turnpike was last night

Hope you're not going to regret that decision . . .

One of my best friends lives near Fort Walton. If it moves westward anymore, I told her to pack her shite, and her and the baby (18 months old) come stay here. Her husband can't come as he is Chief of Police in their town.

So if one of these officials that is not "allowed" to leave because of duty dies can their families sue for wrongful death?

Relax man it's going to be ok unless Irma figures out how to start rotating the other way. Put it this way....we have people evacuating TO us now.
