Background music:
The pg&e electric company is liable for $2 billion in houses and businesses after a forest fire was caused by a downed power line. Wind was gale force with hurricane gusts for 3 hours.

Now their lawyers got them to turn off the power if the wind is 25 with gusts to 40.

I just got a generator.
My question is about the additive stabile.

I added a bit as per the manual.

Id like informed opinions
On how my chevy trax 2018 car would feel about it if i use 91 test with a soupçon of stabile.

My idea is to use the gas i have to have sitting around.
Maybe every two weeks.

Eh?

I know to run the generator a few minutes now and then.

Any ideas and experience from rv campers appreciated.
Generator is a firman 2900/3200. Quiet.
Ive done running in.

Fuel stabilizer good and bad.
I see this all the time.

Now a few engine mfg test with stabil (gold Eagle brand).

Good if follow directions

Bad if you don’t and pour whole bottle in.

Sticky if use too much.
Follow the directions and think ounces not a whole bottle for 6 gallons of gas.

Stabile storage - last a year
Stabil 360 - coats metal tanks than 360 and it a daily use not as long of storage as stabil storage.
Stabil Marine- has some ingredients to help control moisture better.

Now other brands work well also.
Just read mfg instructions.

You live in California? That explains so much now.

I put Stabil in all my gasoline as soon as I get home from filling up my cans,I buy 25 gallons at a time.Last week I got my generator out first time in 2 years and cranked it up 3rd pull, ran fine. Not a good policy,I admit.Generators should be run once a month or so I’ve been told. While back I got my Troybilt chipper out that hadn’t been started in at least 10 years and it ran fine also, had a little trouble getting it started and ran rough few minutes but settled down and worked fine.I store them with tank full but turn the fuel shutoff and run carburetor dry.I measure according to directions on bottle.I believe in it.

You have to put a load on it when you run it as well
