You quoted a multi agent task force. That does NOT EQUAL PATROLS.

Call 911 on Southpark. EBRPSS shows up. Despite having a station right there, BRPD ignores Southpark. You are talking about one street, regardless.
That will go away if SG is a separate city. Just like BRPD does not go into Baker or Zachary.

I always know when you realize you're losing. You start arguing semantics rather than substance. So, see ya' in the next SG thread, probably the one when Perkins Rowe requests annexation.

What you forget LSURussian who is a communist is that the more the city takes in the more it will cost the city in services. Communist are fairly stupid people anyway. Do you remember the fall of the Berlin Wall! I actually was there and people were not running to East Germany.
They will have to build more fire stations and possibly another BRPD district. So you now have more union guys you have to hire with hefty retirements the city of Baton Rouge has to pay for.
Basically the city is stealing money from the unincorporated areas to pay its bills now. What happens when their operating cost go up to service these areas.
You can only put so much water in a balloon before it bust. The same thing with Baton Rouge and EBRP.
Sad part is we are throwing more and more money into a broken school system that is not servicing the people of this parish.

Central is not even close to being the top rated school system. Now, that's funny....
Weren't they one of a dozen school systems to get an A rating?

The fact that St George supporters are upset about not getting a casino tells you all you need to know about their true motives.
Ask yourself: How many students live in the casino, the mall, or celtic studios?

You are the king of stupid semantic arguemts. Thus isn't semantics. You keep blabbing about how much brpd patrols in SG, making it sound like SG is helpless. The truth is, when I called you out on it, you can only find some stupid article on a task force where state police and US Marshalls were present. Then you bring up town center, which isn't even in SG.
I'm out.
I'm out.

For the most part the response to each acquisition has been the same. Wish they would have stayed, but we will keep plugging along.
The more corporate tax that leaves makes me believe that the people pushing it aren't just going after a money grab.

making it sound like SG is helpless.
Bye for now. And say bye to L'Auberge Casino and its $7 million in casino taxes that the SG budget specifically includes.
Carry on your ranting.

I think letting L'Auberge annex into Baton Rouge is good then you don't have to pay for all the services this place needs.
If ST George does not make it this time its not going away. I see it growing into something until this area gets an independent school system.
The only thing that will come out of this land grab is a separation of the city and unincorporated areas and higher city property taxes to pay for the growth in services.
As far as police protection BRPD does not go into unicorporated areas unless it is a joint task force. BRPD is also short staffed compared to the Sheriffs office. Sooner or later the balloon going to bust and city taxes will go up.

Sorry for ignorance but this is bad for St George right?
I wanted to vote on this soon.

This is no where near true. I know first hand. The BRFD has and is hiring the biggest rookie schools in the history of the department. St George FD is the one currently hiring contractors to fill empty positions the cheapest way possible. Again another strike in your count.

They are the 7th or 8th best district in the state. A rating, I would say they would be a top rated school system.
I guess maybe there is a higher rating, just havent seen it I guess.
Maybe another misleading link of yours.

I thought it was understood that central and Zachary were some of the highest performing in the state. When did this change?

Rating =/= ranked. Ranked 7th, rated an A. There is no rating above an A. Unless I missed something.
Still better than staying in the shite storm of EBR schools. Where are they ranked/rated.
If I learned nothing living in AP it is that homeowners will pay out the arse for questionable services only to maintain top rated schools.
