Newer drug. Hits on an additional serotonin receptor compared to most SSRI's. Works well for depression, but have seen it help with anxiety too. It's just not FDA approved for anxiety, yet. Make sure your insurance will cover it before continuing bc there is no generic and it's expensive.

Trintellix has done well for my anxiety. Never been diagnosed with depression. When I first started it, I had great boost in mood too. That moderated quickly though. I find it has helped greatly with general anxiety disorder as well as some social anxiety symptoms.

Previously I was on Zoloft but that didn't work near as well as Trintellix has. And I was tried on every dosage level of Zoloft once it became ineffective.

I had to switch back to Effexor from Pristiq because it was too expensive. Edited for too personal info

Could be that you are tired and feeling stressed with pending holidays.

Could be Seasonal affective related.
