Do I believe their is intelligent (more than bacteria/microscopes) out there? Possibly

Do I think we will ever come into contact with anything? Almost assuredly not

We're within 10 years or so of finding evidence of life in our own solar system. The oceans of one or more of Saturn's moons are supporting single-celled organisms, and perhaps more complex life forms.

I'd go 100 percent. Currently there are people in the international space station.

You sound pretty arrogant in this statement.

Do you believe?

That there is life out there beyond Earth? Yes.

That those beings (or whatever) have visited Earth? Nah....I think most would agree it's VERY unlikely.

I'd be open to believing, but have never really seen anything to make me do it. But I do enjoy discussions about the subject and even am entertained by the conspiracy theories surrounding it.

Do you honestly believe that the size of the universe is proof of other life?

Lets say you are at the beach and take a pinch of sand. A very small pinch of about 100 grains. You notice there is one very nice looking grain that is, say, pink. You wonder if there are any other grains of that color in the whole world. While your small sample size does not prove there are, if would be statistically improbable for that to be the only pink sand grain in the world. So you would probably conclude you could find many more like it if you could get close and examine all the grains.

This argument takes more of a statistical standpoint and doesn't take the origins of life into account, however, but I think there is without a doubt life on other planets.

Just by chance there should be hundreds maybe thousands of planets nearly identical to Earth.
