Do you people know the difference between private vs public corporations?

Every time the Goldrings are mentioned on here I get a true detective season 1 vibe and I’m not sure why

Google claims Sazerac Company to be worth $3.9 Billion. If he owned 100% that would put him over Benson pretty handily. I know nothing about the ownership structure of that company though and didn't realize it was as big as it is until now.

Which one? There’s a shitload of them
Check the assessors website, but they are a very private family they probably have all their houses in different names.
They are very to themselves and donate a ton of money to charities but they never ever are in the spotlight. That’s why not many people have ever heard of them.

He has a lot more than 3.8 billion. He is in the 25-30 billion dollar range. He is the the single largest charity donor in Louisiana

Same here. It’s insane how many liquor companies they own

Right. I guess that 3.9 number is just one of his companies.
Probably no way to know very specific numbers.

There really isn't.
Surely he's sold some off to investors or private equity to protect the family fortune.
They aren't nearly as rich as this guy but the family that owns Turner Industries is absolutely loaded. Who knows how much because it's a family owned business. It's mostly conjecture to guess what people like this are worth

Are people talking about the Goldring family collectively or William alone?
Posted on 4/13/19 at 6:42 pm to MrLSU
Has Jim Bob Moffett lost his arse or was he just never "that" rich?

Newman Goldring (Bill’s grandfather), started the dynasty in 1898 in Pensacola, Florida. Currently, Goldring chairs the Sazerac Company (America’s largest distiller) and Crescent Crown Distributing (the nation’s second largest beer wholesaler). Sazerac owns and manufactures nearly 200 brands of spirits sold domestically and internationally, with a special focus on vodka products and high quality, award winning bourbons.
