Saw a Sizzler in Idaho driving to Jackson Hole. Almost stopped there just for nostalgia.

grew up In the 80s in Lake Charles and I can remember going between Bonanza and Western Sizzlin every week after church.

we did the same during my childhood in cenla. I really looked forward to that on sundays.

a while back, i ran across a western sizzlin in central mississippi and decided to stop in and have some lunch for old times' sake...I am not sure whether my tastes have changed or what, but it was just fricking absolutely terrible...I honestly left most of it on the plate...

is there still a western sizzlin or sizzler in gonzales?

The only 1 left in the state is in Bogalusa. I haven't been to that one so I can't recommend it.

Before my time and a hell of a lot better than something like Western Sizzlin, but Sig's in Port Sulpher. Pretty much gave Ruth the blueprint for Ruth's Chris.

Bonanza had a chicken dish called Chicken Monterey. I seem to remember that being really good back in the day.

Sig's was first before Ruth opened hers. Did another family member open one in New Orleans before them two? Both used pretty much the same family recipes in the beginning.

So are you a warrior?

Found a link I read awhile back, in Randy's own words he says Sig's was first.
