The flash light does not go off on right turns on red. There is a video camera that films these intersections 24-7. There are 10 employees who watch these videos daily. When they see a video violation for not coming to a complete stop on red, they capture the moment, print it and then send you a ticket.

You telling me the intersection is being monitored in real time by a live human somewhere?

I thought it was motion sensing technology that triggered the pic.......

No, its kinda after the fact. Employees review the film of the intersection the following day for "not coming to a complete stop on red"

I had the flash go off at that intersection this morning taking a right on red, definitely came to a complete stop.

I consider myself educated now.

ETA: makes no difference in my wife's driving behavior.

Its unfortunate G, but the vast knowledge I have gained has always come at a price, including right on red camera violations.
