What's the word on them these days? They were new when I was a student. Are they still nice, in good condition, etc? I have an out of state client who's daughter is starting grad school in the Fall and is thinking about this as a place to live.

I lived at Burbank Estates my entire time at LSU. It was never loud and walking distance to campus. Southgate would be a good option tho.

As a grad student I'd look for something to rent around the Perkins overpass.

My son lived there the last 2 years. No issues and he studied in his apartment all the time. Maintenance was not really responsive but fortunately not any major issues. Now the complex behind south gate is sketchy as hell

My last year of undergrad I lived in those condos behind Ivar’s. The units weren’t anything new, however It was incredibly convenient and you could walk to all the bars in the area.

I think that would be about the ideal area for someone 22-24 yrs old that wanted to be close to campus.

Bars, restaurants, grocery stores etc right there. It's sort of a mix of college kids and homeowners. Probably not too many freshman keg parties going on around there.

Pics? It'll help us decide on if she should be at Southgate or El Cid.

I'd find some roomies with a nice house, maybe older but bigger. Knew a few that did that while in the same position and loved the space.
