Gary is right. Someone has to pay the taxes.

My sister had a beautiful home there 25-30 years ago, gave it up after too many break ins.
Probably lived on Fairview and said she lived on Wilder.

Provenance is certainly not shite. Why do you say that?

Yeah, you could always build some Olive Garden looking shite on Railsback.
Please! That house has the same looking roof that LSU has on every building.

don't remember the street, I'd have to look it up, but she was neighbors with the family that "Steel Magnolias" was written about
ETA: and they had a used Benz

This:
is going for $165/ft.

Ill probably shack up in Ellerbe Woods or something. Moderately priced with decent sized lots, most houses have large front porches good for cleaning guns and shite.
I wouldnt mind the original Long Lake. Quite a few homes for sale and have been on the market for a while, but its the blind leading the blind when 10 500k cribs are for sale on the same street.

I would say the "yuppies" in South Shreveport pay waaaaayyyy more taxes than those in Little Hatti, I mean South Highlands

Don't understand why you claim a brand new home in a nice family oriented neighborhood is shite. Where do you live?

I wasn't the one who originally said Providence was shite. But for $165/ft I'd want a house that didn't look like it came pre-fabricated. I live in The Haven where the houses are unique!
JK, I live in South Highlands.

Winner. Provenance blows. Almost as bad as 12 Oaks which is an interesting name for a subdivision with no trees.

Please!!! The houses in The Haven are no more unique than Provenance or any other newer neighborhood. Plus it's older.

I love Shreveport because it's my home town, but I can easily see why it has zero appeal to someone not from there. I couldn't get my old lady to move there for anything.

I wouldn't want my kids growing up so close to two neighborhood bars.

The Haven
my Mother lives there, it's a good 'hood for her, but the homes are meh, it might be cool if they built canal homes on the river in there if you could have your own boat house and dock, but I'd go to Cross Lake before that
