Strong safety, what are your thoughts on the 16 year old girl that was shot in the head while she was in her bed in what seems to be a gang retaliation shooting in Memphis?
I wonder if the NAACP is going to go there and protest? How about Al and Jesse? Do your sources have any info on these?

whether or not the victim was a POS or should or shouldnt have run has nothing to do with the fact that he was still murdered, and there's proof, so i hope the cop gets life at least. totally uncalled for. " he shouldn't have run?" well the cop shouldn't have been in such piss poor shape he couldn't catch or restrain an old man.

When will the police force take personal responsibility for their heinous act?
You mean other than charging the guy with murder?

Not excusing the cop, but RUNNING FROM A COP RARELY TURNS OUT WELL.

And for the millionth time, no one has made that claim.

Duh. But that doesn't change the fact the guy shouldn't have run. How do yall not get that someone can make both of those statements?

If I was a black man getting stopped by the cops I would fear for my life.
I haven't been pulled over by a cop in five years. I'm a law abiding citizen with no warrants or any reason to run from the cops, so my reaction to getting pulled over would be different than Scott's, but as black man the thought of what could happen always crosses your mind when dealing with cops.
FWIW People don't like getting pulled over by the cops, regardless of race.
In 15 years of driving I had never been pulled over until last week. Tail light burned out.

Wait - you've already survived this? I bet the air smells sweeter, food tastes better, and whatnot.

I don't get it either. They just want to bash the cop and not the guy who could have defused the entire situation by simply complying

If you would open your eyes and your ears maybe you'd realize that it's not that simple.
If blacks would listen to what the cops sat they'd realize it is that simple. The cop in the video wasn't aggressive at all until when????? The black guy after lying his arse off took off running. Plain and simple if he sits in his car he gets a ticket or two and drives off. Now because he ran and resisted he Gave this killer an open opportunity. How is that not everyone reality??

but when you're perceived as a threat, and always have been, your margins for error diseases.
Well instead of the black community crying over criminals getting shot why doesn't the black community put thier effort into lowering the crime in the community and the reality that 80 percent of the crime Is committed by 13 percent of the population should throw up red flags. FIX IT!! One could argue it's the white man's fault and that's fine. But whatever excuse you want to use doesn't change the fact that the black community as a while is completely broken. Stop worrying about the couple thugs getting shot and focus that energy into fixing black families and schools and culture.

black community
Sir, I apologize but I am not familiar with this black community that you speak of.
I must have missed the memo. How does it work? Where is it located? Is it all blacks or just certain blacks? Is there a membership?
Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. As a black male I do not want to miss out.

Almost forgot this part. What is black culture? I want to make sure I am doing it right.

Good question.
Are you born into it like a white man is born into white privilege ?

And he probably will. So what is your point?
Has anyone defended the murderer?
I think his point is that it's part of a bigger picture. You think the problem of unjustified killings/abuse is isolated to SC? You can say "What else do you want?", but that doesnt change the fact that there's no accountability for police across this country. Arresting one officer for one crime isn't going to reverse that trend. Until that trend goes the other way expect the public's view of police to get worse as more and more police videos come out, making the whole profession look like criminals.

I know you're trying to be a smart arse but you know exactly what he's talking about.

The cop was arrested and is being tried for murder. How much more accountability does there need to be?

Ignorant people going to be ignorant I guess.

I am guessing you think cops planting evidence, shooting suspects in the back, and then lying about it on the police report only happens extremely rarely, right? Is that naïveté, or are you trolling? Why do you keep defending a profession that produces criminals instead of admitting there's a problem?

Yes, I do think the situation that happened here is extremely rare. But not once have I said there is no problem. Feel free to provide any credible evidence to support yourself though.

this is what happens when you have nothing left to say...
I have plenty more to say, but I don't think you're worth the time. Acting like what happened in this situation is institutionally supported is completely laughable.

This is the first one of these shootings (at least in recent memory) that was fully caught on tape from a 3rd party.
This guy wouldn't have falsified his report and planted that taser if he knew he was on camera.
And since this is one of the first from a 3rd party, and it shows actual evidence of wrongdoing and impropriety, I don't think it's a stretch to say this has happened before. And probably at a much higher rate than you want give credence to.
