I used to be fairly racist and bigoted. I became much more tolerant and open minded in college. Now I live in New York and have learned to hate everyone equally and without regard for race or religion.

Sports in general. I'm still a fan, but don't get bent out of shape over wins and losses anymore. The older I get the more money and corruptness I see involved at both the college and pro level it's hard to tune out and just blindly enjoy the game.

Grew up a Christian, now I'm an atheist, because I started thinking critically.
Grew up a Republican, became a Democrat, now Independent/Libertarian-ish, because almost all politicians are lying assholes.
Grew up fairly racist, joined the Navy and rejected racism, because I realized how stupid it was, and also some of the best guys I worked with weren't white.
Grew up pro-life, now I'm okay with early-term abortion, because a clump of cells is not a human.
Grew up anti-gay, now I'm not, because gay people can do whatever they want, and they have no choice in the hand they were dealt.

Politicians. Used to think D and R were different. They're not. Both are equally worthless, equally destructive to the nation. Equally reprehensible.

Damn Gator! I am 100% agreeing with you!

It is just almost the opposite of my life, I grew up tolerant and liberal, and life has made me intolerant and reactionary.

The dogmatic beliefs I once had regarding my faith.

I'm only 29, and while I don't practice it like I should. What I believe now is a fair amount different than what I believed even into my early 20s.

It's amazing what actually learning about Theology will do to destroy the somewhat false temple of modern American Christianity.

This also affected my politics. As I've moved somewhat left in my Christian faith, I've moved to a more libertarian view. Away from a hardline Christian right perspective.

I used to agree with Christian specific morality being written into law. I know believe that it's the Church's job to change people. We can't legislate sin into hiding. Making it the law only ends up hurting the church in the long run.

When I was a child I thought everyone believed in God. As I got older I obviously met more people that don't. My faith changed as well. I'm still a Christian but I have developed a much better understanding of my faith
