I don’t agree with your reaction and think you probably made that part up, but I know the type you’re describing. They constantly confuse evangelicalism with constitutionalism and use there religion as a shield and excuse to be derogatory and pretentious towards everyone not in their “group.” I’ve not met any Catholics this way, but the born again Baptist’s are notorious for this type of attitude.

I especially like when they start to tell me what big supporters of the 2A they are because they bought their wives a Taurus 9mm.
