In a public speaking course at Illinois I once gave a speech about HIV vs. HIV marketing. The gay kid in class walked out on me.
Infomercials and sex-ed training programs targeting straight upper middle class college freshmen, telling them they'll get aids if they hook up with other straight upper middle class college freshmen are just not based in reality.

Yep. The majority of new reported cases of HIV infection in the BR area are black males.

That is exaggerated, though not by much. Here is an interesting graphic. White heterosexual males are definitely underrepresented.

I don't know what the numbers are now, but back around 2015 gay men and IV drug users accounted for nearly 80 percent of new AIDS cases.
That's about 3 percent of the population accounting for 4 out of 5 new cases.
Don't do other men and don't do heroin, and the AIDS will more than likely stay away.
