Food prices are outright disgusting! Gas is insane! Utilities are unbelievable!
You don't really expect them to be any cheaper than they are right. Most companies held out on price increases as long as they could hoping things would drop but they kept going up. They had to increase

I have both an EV and an ICE vehicle. I can tell you factually that I saved about $40 a month compared to when I had 2 ICE vehicles.
Does that include the change in car insurance rates for driving an EV?
Also, does that factor in the increased electrical usage at home and charging at charging stations? If using a charging station do you also factor in the extra 30-40 minutes of dead time while charging that you will spend extra money eating out or shopping for needless items at an outlet mall or grocery store where the charging station is located.

It's pieces of shite like you who caused this.
COVID shutdowns, and stupid (overwhelmingly Democrat) spending.

Funny that you said that, just tonight, I stole for the first time in my life. Sitting at Kroger with about 80 bucks worth of groceries and it’s 6pm and they have no lanes open and everyone is bottlenecked into self checkout. Took about 45 mins to checkout. When it was my turn I just said screw this and didn’t ring up everything at the bottom of my cart. About 40 dollars worth of food….and it felt fricking fantastic. Call it hypermicro deflation
When some thug in the hood or a crazy poor woman with pink hair steals something people just say “what’s the world coming to?” When the conservative, buttoned up 40 year old teacher intentionally shoplifts because he’s tired of the bullshite. That’s how you become the white Rosa parks. Revolution my brothers!!!

My wife gets groceries on Sundays and i give her my Cash back card to use. When she comes home i start counting the bags and seeing whats inside cringing at what its going to cost. I refuse to look at the receipt right away and wait 2 days before the charge shows online. This way the anger of accusing her of running up the grocery bill waits and usually has me a little calmer.

Maybe so but at some point every man has to take a stand for what they think is right and today corporate America finally pushed me too far. How much do they care about the product if they have nobody checking people out, asking them to pay, checking to see if they paid. If I had to check out my own stuff then I’m technically working for them. A couple of free groceries are just my cut for doing their job for them.

So you're saying you wanted Hillary as 45? After 8 years of 44? Really?

Wrong target
Wall Street and modern MBA's (starting in 1980) is where this all starts.

This is what younger people keep missing with no historical period of service to draw from. My old man would never eat at McDonalds because you had to wait in line to order, take your own food to your table, then buss your table when finished. His point, missed by folks today is I am paying for service but not getting any.
Think of TV
TV = individual paid once for machine and content was free
Cable = Paid for TV once, paid monthly fee for commercial free content
Current = Pay for device (short lived), pay monthly fee, pay to watch commercials

I have been saying for years that since those of us who use self checkout are doing the job of the cashier and the bagger, and since labor costs are baked into the prices of the food we buy- we should indeed get an automatic 10-15% discount at the register…. That said, you are still a scumbag .

Just like the Earth has always been getting warmer, prices have always increased.
Not true, Coke built an empire never increasing prices for SIXTY YEARS!
Hershey did the same, just not 60 years but maybe 30?
For most of US history 1% - 3% was the interest rate, 6% was against the law
I lived through the oil shocks of the 70's and ever since we "accept" price increases (and no decreases) and it gets more exponential than linear.

stupid people who can't make enough money to keep up with inflation who complain about it.
This is the apparent cause, not the actual cause
Since the 1960's (and moreso the 1980's) as wages go up, say 10%, the cost of living has outstripped wages (say 20%) so for the same work you can buy less and less. I have yet to see any POTUS (save Nixon's price freezes) since actually do anything to address the ever growing inequality spread.

Prices will never come down
I mean do prices EVER go down?
Corporate profits were at record highs last year
They have seen how far they can push the average consumer
$300 grocery runs
$25 lunch
$70,000 new trucks
People are financing everything and being like “frick it I didn’t want to retire anyway”
