I have thought about meetup groups. That's easy.
It's hard for me to enter those to meet girls and not come off as weird (unless that's the point of the group [singles]).

Dont do it just to meet girls. Pursue something you actually like doing with other like minded people. Make a few friends and maybe they'll set you up with somebody.
