So you just want an Echo Chamber where you can Circle Jerk with all of your Butt Buddy Cop Worshippers ?

Shouldn't you be out Marching in a Gay Pride Parade ?

Not sure the intersection between these two groups of people is what you think it is

I don't know if you're an alter or not, but this sounds like a person who has a whole lot of in depth knowledge about a message board he just joined a day ago.

Carry on.

I'm glad that someone on here gets it.

I'm very pro-police but this cop should be out of a job and banned from holding a police job in Kentucky. It would set an example. You gotta keep your house clean.

We wish. Half of the guys who were fired over the Breonna Taylor shooting who violated policy and lied on the warrant have been re-hired by other Kentucky precincts. One has already had issues chasing and shooting at a civilian as well and still has his job.

Gillis won't get shite but a slap on the wrist.

Wasn't one of the agreements when everything was dropped that that all parties just let it go..

Don’t point that very factual and relevant statement out! That’s just backing the blue!

Pretty sure that was so Scheffler wouldn’t sue, which is a pretty dirty and likely illegal act by the DA (if not, it should be illegal).

You can’t just say, “promise not to sue us and we won’t charge you”.

Scheffler wanted it to end, therefore there was no pushback.

Whether the cop should face charges for lying on a police report is completely separate.

All parties wanted this to just go away, so they each gave consideration to the other and signed a contract to give both parties what they wanted.

You know how 94% of cases are settled rather than tried in court? Because often times “what is right by the letter of the law” and “what is practical and agreeable to both parties” doesn’t line up. Welcome to the American criminal judicial system.

Gillis was absolutely negligent at a minimum (and that’s being very generous), but there was absolutely nothing illegal about this agreement.

Edit: I believe if Scheffler wanted to charge Gillis in civil court he didn’t waive that right, but why in the world would he?
