Smoked cigarettes for over 2 decades. I haven't smoked since September 30, the day before my 40th birthday. I'm using the blu electronic cigarette to help curb nicotine cravings but it's not nearly the same and I've gained 10 pounds. Any advice from former smokers?

Thank you. And yes I've gained 10 lbs. I don't understand why because I'm not eating differently.

Yes e cigs have nicotine but it's not the nicotine that's harmful.

Ironically, I'm not a smoker but just decided to try some Nicorette after drinking a few beers one night. It gave me a nice little kick and now I am hooked on that gum. Is there any product to wean you off the gum?

Yeah, don't smoke. Even allowing yourself one in any circumstance snowballs into full time smoking again

Good luck broseph, been fighting and losing this battle for a few years now. Been trying the vape thing and it helps but never sticks. I wish you the best.

Not a former smoker. But I think you should just keep smoking.

Most people who smoke get cancer when they quit.

The carcinogens in ciggs actually supress mutated cells from spreading.

That's science. I didn't just make that up.

Good job.

I quit a couple of months ago (Tobacco). I smoked for 20 years off and on, and here recently in the last 2 weeks I've barely thought about a cig.

Oct. 1st is mine too. Good luck on staying off it.

Not trying to be a bitch, but if you are still sucking nicotine into your lungs in ecig form, you have not quit smoking. But I hope you make it.

Eleven years for me. Cold turkey. Hard to not put on some pounds.
