Costs like $7-8 per can (usual brands like skoal) in upstate New York. Only ballers could dip here. Better to quit anyway

Apparently recent studies have shown that the vast majority of cancer related issues have been overblown about smokeless tobacco.

I definitely believe that. A guy who used to post here died in his 30's of some kind of nasty mouth/throat cancer and never had any tobacco habits. I know a few old guys who have been doing it their whole lives and have no problems.

I'm sure it's really like everything else; done with moderation is fine, done in vast excess is horrible.

100% agree.

I say the same thing about cigarettes, beer, wine, food, and coffee.

So was I. The pouches helped me dial it way back. I still dip, but maybe two days a week. Take one while cutting the yard, then maybe two or three on Saturday.

As I mentioned earlier I like the spearmint and I can only find it one place in BR. Was there with MrsWafer (no pics) one day and o mentioned they had it, she was the one who suggested buying multiple cans. She knows how much I've cut back and that I really enjoy it, so why not take advantage of the flavor when it's available.

I keep telling my wife that one can lasting me 2-3 weeks cause I mainly only dip 2-3 times on the weekends isn't bad. She counters me with "tell that to your daughter through the hole in your cheek when she's older." She should have been a lawyer

I never could develop a taste for dipping, made me puke. I always wondered, does it destroy your bottom teeth? Seems like it would but I've never asked anyone I knew that dipped to show me.

Recent dentist visit doc said my bottom teeth were in great shape and very strong. I've lost a molar only because of a cavity to the root at the top.

But no rot or severe discoloration? I would have thought at least they would start turning yellowish after a long time just from staining.

Copenhagen longcut wintergreen.

The wintergreen flavor is too damn strong for me with grizzly.
