Schedule surgery. PT helps but it's something you'll have to continue daily for the shoulder to be functional and it wont ever pain free.
I beg to differ. My shoulder has been pain free since about 6 months after the surgery and follow-up PT sessions. I had my right rotator cuff surgery done in 2013 and have had absolutely no issues with it since mid 2014.
The most important thing is have a good Dr. do the surgery and follow instructions when going to PT to get your best results.
They will give you stuff to do at home between sessions, so don't skimp on them and not do them or it could take longer to heal.

Check out Voltaren. It's over the counter cream and my friend won't shut up about it. His ortho rec'd it and his shoulders are pure garbage. Like bone on bone
Yeah I need double shoulder replacement surgeries and while the voltaren doesn't get rid of the pain it does lessen it. My biggest issue is the application of it since I have limited mobility in my shoulders I have to use the bathroom doorway to push my shoulders to reach the back of the other shoulder.

Special pillow
Medcline
Bought that exact one. Didn't work at all. Terribly uncomfortable
I found something that works pretty well for me about 6 weeks ago.
It's a tube shaped, flexible couch cushion. It's about 10 inches in diameter and 3 feet long.
My left shoulder is the bad one, so I've been sleeping on my right side, leaning against this cushion with my left arm draped over it.
It's not perfect, but I've been getting better sleep.
