Fan for me. My ears ring in dead silence.

Box fan on medium or high right next to my bed. My parents have one in every room for when we come down for games in the fall. I pack one with me on any road trip/vacation that doesn't require air travel. Bring my pillow from home as well on most trips.

Do you receive treatment for your tinnitus? There's an audiologist in New Orleans that specializes in tinnitus.

People who live above me walk around with their damn shoes all night long for me to have silence.

My downstairs neighbors complain about this all the time

Those bitches smoke pot all the time and it comes into my apartment, so I don't feel too bad about it

I prefer complete darkness and no noise. The wind kept me up at night these past few weeks.

Hm. No, I don't currently. It's pretty mild, and I don't know of anything that can really be done for it. My dad has it as well.

Surprised no one has mentioned the using the noise-maker or app on the "Rain" setting.

That puts me right to sleep

I only know of this because my wife is in audiology school but there are treatments for tinnitus. I can recommend an audiologist if you want to try it out.
