I'm really impressed at the situational awareness of the first two groups in the video -- they got out safely at the right time, and GTFO the way. Third group? Not so much.

It's happened a few times in the US:
This one they got the line stopped before it got up to ludicrous speed: Sugarloaf

There's actually 23 minutes of that testing video - this is just the most entertaining clip. Note the concrete being used to simulate people on the chairs, and the moment the workers realize they're too close to the action.
