depending on timing, you could go to Toronto on Thursday after Niagara Falls and then back through Niagara Falls to Syracuse on Friday
It will be about 4 hours from Toronto to Syracuse (through NF)

Also, depending on who you are going with wife or buddies.... many great massage parlours and strip clubs in and around Toronto

Banff National Park if you are in Alberta

Thinking of taking the family there next summer; any suggestions or where to stay? Lake Louise???Also, should we stay there the whole trip or go to Whistler or Calgary?

Could you edit that and create your own thread? I'm getting some good replies here, I'm sure you could do the same without derailing my topic. Thanks

We visited last summer and coupled our trip to Banff NP with a trip to Glacier NP in Montana. Flew into Calgary and drove down to Glacier and stayed there for 4 nights. Drove up to Banff NP and stayed there another 4 nights. In Banff we stayed at Baker Creek Mountain Resort since it was centrally located between the town of Banff, Lake Louise and some other things we wanted to do (Columbia Icefields, Bow Lake/Falls hike, etc.). When we go back I would stay there again. Quiet, peaceful, and although we didn't have our kids with us there are plenty of places right around there for kids to run around and explore a little bit, and even wade in a runoff stream that flows into the Bow River.

I cannot comment on Whistler or Calgary, neither of which were on our itinerary for this trip.

ETA: We did stay our last night in Calgary, only so we would be closer to the airport for an early morning flight to return home.

Calgary is only 80 miles east of the park.

Be careful, you may end up with a lot more "non responses" by doing this .

Toronto... Take the ferry out to the island to explore. Really beautiful. Avoid the nude beach unless you like dong.

There's good theatre and restaurants throughout the city.
