327 set up right would smoke 350's all day in the quarter mile.
Had a Nova with one, tricked a bit with a 4 speed manual. Thing was light and would blow most things out of the water.
There were a few hotrodders from out in the boondocks that would bring their cars in for racing, no pink slips, just a few hundred bucks.
Those guys had some rigs.
